Environmental Inspector
Job Description
Performs civil and structural tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slump, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades surveys, bolt torques, and concrete coring.
Performs surveillance of underground piping to ensure tightness, bedding, and grade.
Validates piping systems, including P&ID checks and hydraulic or other pressure tests.
Provides general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Skills
Minimum 10 years demonstrable experience; 5 years experience in similar sewerage, surface & groundwater networks projects.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering from a recognized University.
Experience should also include construction involving deep excavation, structural and water retaining concrete, temporary works, dewatering, pavement/roadworks, utilities diversion/interface etc.
Particular emphasis on Micro tunneling works, procedures, machinery setup, monitoring micro tunnel site activities.
